Helpdesk / IT Support Assistant

Working in a fast paced environment the Helpdesk / IT Support Assistant will cover all aspects of IT and operational Support. The Helpdesk / IT Support Assistant will be responsible for taking on calls over the phone and electronically, trying to resolve at first instance and escalating as required.
To be successful for this role the Helpdesk / IT Support Assistant will require:
- Excellent communication skills
- A user focused approach to your work
- A passion for IT and an eagerness to pursue a career in IT
- Self motivated
- Prepared to be flexible with out of hours work if needed
Knowledge of the following technologies would help:
- Windows XP/ 7
- MS Office
- Outlook
- TCP/IP Networking
- Active Directory
Full training will be given but some IT knowledge would be preferred.
This would be a great first role within the IT industry, where you can build up a technical skill set and get a foot on the ladder.
