We are looking for candidates to be our Solicitors of the future. With an ambition to be the best, you are highly motivated and able to pay attention to detail. A training contract is a two-year training programme in which you will spend time sat in four different six-month seats. You will be regarded as a fee earning member of staff during this time, and you will be expected to provide a high quality legal service to all our clients, under the supervision and training of a qualified solicitor.
About The role
At Crombie Wilkinson we place great emphasis on our values. Our values underpin our strategy and we want to ensure that every member of the team embraces them to further our ambitions for our business, our people and our clients. Crombie Wilkinson recruits trainee solicitors using a framework of six different values which are underpinned by competencies, all of which we feel are essential to becoming a successful solicitor.
By familiarising yourself with this list you should be able to understand whether becoming a solicitor would suit you as an individual. You will need to demonstrate that you possess all of these qualities and attributes in order for your application to be successful.
We also look carefully at each candidate's academic background. Solicitors need a high degree of technical ability to be successful, we feel academic ability is closely linked to this. This is why we have a minimum academic requirement that all trainees are expected to meet or exceed:
- 340 UCAS points from your best three A-Levels or equivalent (excluding General Studies)
- A strong 2:1 degree (any degree subject)
- A Commendation (or above) at Law School (GDL and/or LPC)
- Candidates must have completed their LPC/PEAT 1 prior to commencing a training contract.
