First female President of the Yorkshire Law Soc

  • Posted

History was made at the AGM of the Yorkshire Law Society in April when Jenni Bartram was appointed as the first female President of the Society in its 224 year history.

Jenni, a director in Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors LLP, is relishing the task of leading the 250 strong membership of solicitors based in York and North Yorkshire through the challenges of the coming year. Her priorities will be to raise the profile of women solicitors and widen membership of the Society to include those practising the law outside the traditional model of private practice solicitor. Jenni qualified as a solicitor in 1981 and has been with Crombie Wilkinson since 1979. Jenni runs the firms Malton office and concentrates on her Agricultural Law practice.
