Run for All York 10K

  • Posted

Congratulations to the Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors team who ran the York 10k for charity

Sunday 31 July 2011 saw many thousands of runners take to the streets of York as part of the 3rd year of the Jane Tomlinson Run for All York 10k race.

The atmosphere was fantastic, everyone was in great spirits and the crowds kept all the runners motivated with their encouragement despite the intense heat from the sun which made it very warm on the day. People raced for many different charities and causes on the day and a huge amount of money has no doubt been raised overall.

Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors had a team of runners who entered and completed the race. They ran as a collective group to raise money for Cruse Bereavement Care in York because Sharon Richardson from their Private Client team is a Probationary Bereavement Volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Care.

Cruse Bereavement Care is a charity in the U.K. specialising in bereavement. Founded in 1959, they currently have 134 branches and more than 5,500 volunteers throughout the U.K. Over 80,000 people contact Cruse each year for help and information.

Cruse exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people and to enable anyone bereaved by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss. Cruse services are free to bereaved people and the charity provides support and offers information, advice, education and training services.
