For Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors, 2013 has been an extremely busy year and the Directors are looking forward to 2014 being even more positive and beneficial for their clients.

The firm has substantially increased its staff headcount, to ensure it continues to deliver excellent customer service and expertise to its growing client base, by over ten per cent in 2013, bringing the total number of staff to over 90 across the offices in York, Selby and Malton. The installation of a market leading practice management system earlier in the year has further improved the quality of service it delivers.

The Commercial Team, headed up by Jessica Roberts, now comprises thirteen legal advisors, offering a wide range of company and commercial legal services to businesses across North Yorkshire as well as wider afield in Yorkshire with their specialist agricultural legal expertise and their close working relationship with the National Farmers Union.

The Property Team, headed up by Abigail Mitchell, who was appointed as a Director this year, has been joined by Richard Black in the role of Residential Conveyancing Manager, Gordon Gildener in a consultancy role in the areas of commercial and residential conveyancing and Chris Hindle in commercial property. Gordon will also provide support to the Private Client team which was also joined by Brindley Meredith recently to bolster the team at the York office.

Sarah Burt associate solicitor and family mediator, Emma Heptonstall family mediator and Shelley Britton trainee solicitor, have all joined the family team. This adds strength and depth to an already established team offering family matters legal advice and family mediation services which is now made up of ten legal advisors under the direction of Chris Myles, Director and family mediator.

The administration team has been joined by Nando Langton in the role of Risk and Compliance Manager, working closely with Director Neal Porter and the senior management team and the secretarial support is being increased with the appointment of four new secretaries across the probate and property teams.

The Malton office is being joined in January 2014 by Ian Barnard, an Associate Solicitor who will work as part of the commercial team on both commercial property and agricultural matters.

Duncan Morter, Managing Director, says “Our continued growth and expansion of the teams to meet with the demand from our clients means we are very pleased to have been able to make these appointments and promotions. Our focus on client satisfaction and delivery of legal services efficiently has been reinforced by our commitment to having the right people in place. This is good news for both the firm and our clients and demonstrates our growth and positive forward outlook.”
