Following a recent annual independent assessment, law firm Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors, with offices in Pickering, Malton, Selby and York, is delighted to confirm their continued accreditation with Lexcel, the Law Society quality standard mark for law firms. This is the firm’s 20th anniversary of being a Lexcel accredited firm, which only 15% of law firms hold, something to be commended.

Lexcel is an accreditation indicating quality in relation to legal practice management and client care standards. It was introduced by The Law Society of England and Wales in 1998.

Philip Knight, the Lexcel assessor, said that the firm had “exceeded the benchmark”, and that “files were run very well and there was a lot of super feedback from clients” and that it was an “impressive result”.

Duncan Morter, Managing Director said “Getting this very positive report from our assessor is a great achievement and a real demonstration of how hard the team at Crombie Wilkinson works. We were very proud listening to the praise from the assessor as he attended the inspection at our offices.

This is a great demonstration of the CW values, and we are all very proud of this achievement. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the actual assessment, and huge thanks goes to every person in the firm, without whom we wouldn’t be the high performing business that we are. Passing Lexcel with flying colours relies on us having well thought out and embedded systems and procedures in place.

It is vital to manage the quality of our legal services effectively. A quality management system that is independently assessed demonstrates our commitment to consistently deliver services that meet client expectations, improve overall client satisfaction and assist regulatory compliance especially in a world where there is ever changing regulatory requirements. Well done! #clientcentred #citizenship #continuousimprovement.”

Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors delivers a high quality client service through the 8 commitments of its Service Pledge, a pledge they encourage clients, as well as people they work with, to benchmark how they have done and provide feedback so the firm can deliver on their #ContiunousImprovement value. All staff in the firm work hard to maintain the Service Pledge and the firm rewards staff who are hardworking, dedicated and passionate about the firm and demonstrate the service pledge and values through their actions through its career progression programme.

The firm made the decision to offer its staff an exciting career structure, a clear path from Associate, to Senior Associate to Director that is fair and attainable by those who to want to develop their careers, help the firm grow and contribute to the improvement of the business. It has a transparent structure and gives staff a real opportunity to not only develop their career but also be involved and have a say in the running of the firm for its future growth.
