Agricultural Law
Our Agricultural Law department is based at our Malton office and holds membership with both the Agricultural Law Association and NFU Professional.
The areas of agricultural work which we are well able to deal with are as follows:-

- RPA entitlements, Woodland Grant Schemes and Stewardship Schemes
- General Property Issues including Property & land development
- Agricultural Holdings Act Tenancies
- Farm Business Tenancies
- Grants of Easements (regularly dealing with gas pipes, electric lines, Mobile phone aerials etc)
- Farm diversification schemes especially and significantly caravan and leisure parks
- Chancel Repair and Manorial rights
- Rights of Way, Commons/Village Green issues
- Tax and Will Planning
- Partnership Agreements (Company Law matters are dealt with from York office)
- Farm Cottages and letting of same (possession matters are dealt with at the York office)
- Employment (two specialists within the firm)
- Sporting Rights and Agreements and Hunting related matters
- Equine matters and Grazing Licences
Jennifer Bartram has lectured with the Agricultural Valuers Association on Single Farm Payment Introduction and all Members of the Team have lectured in local Agricultural Seminars on various topics of legal interest. Our work regularly involves working with other agricultural professionals within the industry.
