Duncan Morter
Managing Director
Duncan is Managing Director of the firm. He is both well-respected and well-liked in his role as Managing Director, and is committed to steering the firm on an ambitious course as it continues to grow, both in size and in regional presence.
Duncan graduated from Cambridge University in 1995 and, after obtaining a Distinction at Law School, went on to qualify as a solicitor in October 1999.
Duncan has developed a wealth of expertise in advising clients on a broad range of matters, including development site acquisitions and disposals, commercial leases, banking and refinancing. He also provides commercial advice to Partnerships and LLPs, and has led large-scale corporate transactions, including joint ventures, and business acquisitions and disposals. Clients have included property developers, housing associations, architects, GP practices, restaurants, theatres, writers, and even other solicitors and barristers.
He has acted for many of his clients for a number of years. They would describe Duncan as extremely affable but also, thanks to his impressive in-depth legal knowledge and his strong commercial acumen, an excellent negotiator.
Duncan is a music graduate. He writes and records songs, runs a choir, directs musicals and he plays in three different bands.
