For many years, we have supported charities and local community groups and projects with fundraising activities and volunteering. Our work on this continues under our Community Focus Value, and each year, we choose a charity for each of our offices to focus our fundraising efforts on. The charities are chosen by our staff and we enjoy the longer collaboration of a year to really work alongside the people at each charity and hopefully make a difference.
In the bigger picture of the world we live in, our collective responsibility to our environment continues to be an important message that all of us have a responsibly to do our part. Therefore, in 2022, we launched our Environmental Sustainability project group.
The objective of this group is to look at ways in the short, medium, and long term, that we as a firm can reduce our impact on the environment, both at our offices and in our home lives, including our commuting. We are looking at our supplier chains, the products we source, ways in which to work in and operate our offices more environmentally friendly and much more.
The Environmental Sustainability project group form the core team looking at the project goals, they welcome any ideas and contributions from all our staff.

From 2022, alongside the charity we will choose annually to fundraise for, we will also choose an environmental project in our region of North Yorkshire to which we will offer volunteering support. This will then form part of our Community Focus Value work moving forward on an annual basis.
