Trainee Solicitor

Emily is a Trainee Solicitor, currently working in our residential property team after completing her first seat in our dispute resolution team and her second seat in our commercial property team.

Her role within the commercial property team included reviewing and investigating titles, ordering searches, liaising with HMRC and HM Land Registry, updating and communicating with clients and agents, taking client instructions and reviewing contractual clauses and drafting Land Registry forms.

The work she undertook whilst in the Dispute Resolution team involved disputes concerning professional negligence claims, property claims, misrepresentation claims, commercial and contract disputes as well as assisting with contentious probate matters.

Prior to starting her trainee solicitor role in April 2022, Emily was a Paralegal at our York office working in the Family Law department.

Emily joined our firm in June 2019. Emily completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at Leeds Beckett University in 2017.
