Trainee Solicitor

Emily is a Trainee Solicitor, currently working in her second seat in our commercial property team after completing her first seat in our family law team.

Emily graduated from Northumbria University as a Master in Law with First Class Honours. She joined Crombie Wilkinson in March 2021, working initially as Legal Secretary in our Private Client team before being promoted to Paralegal and going on to work in our Company/Commercial Property team. This role involved preparing documentation for the sale and purchase of commercial property including agricultural property, deducing title for unregistered land and subsequent first registration. Emily’s work has taken her to all four of our offices.

In her first seat as a Trainee Solicitor, Emily’s work primarily entailed Divorce and Financial matters, including the preparation and submission of relevant applications and disclosure documentation, and liaising with colleagues and clients alike.

In her spare time, Emily pursues her hobby as a pet and wildlife artist, making cards and prints from her own original artwork. She also enjoys photography, cooking and walking her six dogs!

Emily is supervised by Ian Barnard, Director and Head of Company/Commercial Property team.
