James Cornforth

James joined our firm in September 2022 as a Paralegal in our Commercial Property department.

James is currently working in our Family Law team at our Ryedale offices.

Prior to working in our Family Law team, he assisted with all areas of commercial property including the lease, purchase and sale of industrial units, retail units and offices. Being a former farmhand and from a farming background he has firsthand experience with the farming industry and a particular interest in agricultural law.

James has assisted with the sale of purchase of bare land, overage agreements, adverse possession, short-term grazing licences, first registration of land and the drafting of partnership agreements for farming families.

In his spare time, James pursues mountaineering and triathlons as a hobby. He enjoys listening to audiobooks and folk music, playing chess, and travelling around the UK.

James is supervised by Greg Cross - Director and Joint Head of Family Law team.
