Solicitor

Lois Britchford is a Solicitor in the Private Client team in our York office. She qualified as a Solicitor in May 2025.

She helps and supports individuals and families on a range of matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Estate Administration. She understands that these matters often involve sensitive and emotional issues, and she takes a calm, compassionate and personal approach to guiding clients through them.

Lois takes her time to get to know her clients and what matters to them. She aims to make the process as straightforward and reassuring as possible, whether she is helping someone plan for their own future or supporting them through the administration of a loved one’s estate.

Lois is backed by a strong set of academic qualifications. She studied Law at the University of Hull, graduating in 2020 with a 2:1 Law Degree (LLB Hons). Following this, Lois completed her LPC with LLM at the University of Law and graduated in 2021 with a Distinction.

Lois is supervised by Sharon Richardson – Director and Head of the Private Client team.
