"Going the Extra Mile" GEM Awards
We believe that recognising some of the fantastic things our staff do throughout the year is essential. Therefore to continue such recognition we have decided to celebrate individual contributions by awarding GEM Awards.
Towards the end of 2018, staff were able to nominate their colleagues for outstanding performance where they had gone 'above and beyond' what is expected of them to demonstrate our core values. This is a great way to celebrate our values and bring them to life!
Once the nominations were received, our Staff Liaison and Charity Committee worked together to decide who the winners would be. No Heads of Department or Directors were involved with the nominations or the decisions about the award winners, it was purely a staff decision.
At our Christmas Party in December 2018, we presented five GEM Awards based around our values. The winners each received a voucher of their choice.
So many congratulations to our 2018 GEM Award winners for their outstanding contributions. The awards were presented by Sharon Richardson and Charlotte Mountain. The winners were as follows:
- Catherine Kitching (Malton), Linda Kinder (Malton) and Rebecca Marsden (Pickering) who all won an award for 'Citizenship'.
- David Atkinson (York) won the award for 'Client Centred'
- Tricia Pollard won the aware for 'Community Focus'
A very well done to all our winners, all very well deserved!!
