We have raised £1840.86 for charity

  • Posted

As part of our ‘Community Focus’ Value during the last 12 months, we have been able to raise a total of £1840.86 for the three charities we were supporting – York Mind, The Wildlife Orphanage and Encephalitis Society.

As a firm, we agree one charity per office for 12 months to focus our fundraising efforts on. Our total funds raised this time have been achieved through many fantastic bake sales, raffles, sports themed events such as cycling stages of the Tour de France on exercise bikes at our offices and playing games such as guessing the number of football chocolates in a jar when the World Cup was on.

Duncan Morter, Managing Director said “Well done to all the staff and people who have supported our fundraising activities, we could not do it without you! Supporting charity is a great way for us to get involved in our community and give something back. We value the opportunity to be able to support local as well as national initiatives.”

Encephalitis Society said “Thank you so much to everyone at Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors for all their generosity and support over the past year, and also for making the best cakes in the world! Fact!

York Mind said “This is a fantastic amount! Thank you so much for all your hard work fundraising in York. Every penny of this total will help to make a real and lasting difference to the work that we so for mental health.”

Annette Pyrah at The Wildlife Orphanage said “On behalf of myself, my volunteers and all the animals at The Wildlife Orphanage, I would like to thank everyone involved in the fundraising and for presenting our Rescue with the cheque for £613.62. This will really help the Rescue so much as the scorching weather has caused wildlife so many problems this year and we have been inundated with poorly, dehydrated animals. Please could you pass on our thanks to anyone involved in the fundraising. It really is greatly appreciated.”

Duncan Morter said “We are delighted to announce the four charities we will be raising funds and awareness for over the next year are Pickering office – Scarborough Whitby Ryedale MIND, York office – Smiley Riley, Malton office – Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Selby office – Young Minds. Keep an eye out for the fundraising activities we will be doing over the next year, it will be great to have as much support along the way as we can get!”
