Insulated homes for the elderly

Elderly people in the UK have been implored to contact their energy providers if they have failed to deliver insulation improvements, especially with a sustained period of
cold weather on the way. A statement from Energy UK said that no one in the country should be left feeling cold this winter and if anyone is worried about their particular situation, they ought to act as soon as possible. In a bid to avert a potential crisis, Energy UK has been working with local authorities. The body called on energy firms to insulate the homes of the most vulnerable, as they are required to do. The energy debate has intensified over the last few weeks following a speech by Labour Leader Ed Miliband, who pledged to freeze gas and electricity prices in the event that they win the next general election in 2015.
